Police said that a case has been registered against Kataria under section 370 of the IPC at Bajghera police station in Gurugram.

The complainants, Arun Kumar, a resident of Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh, and Manis Tomar, a resident of Hapur, said they were unemployed. He was in touch with Kataria through Instagram.

The complainants told the police that on Bobby's YouTube channel MBK, he had advertised for a job abroad. After this he called Bob Kataria on his WhatsApp.Bobby called him to meet him in his office in Sector 10 on the pretext of getting him a job abroad.

The complainant then met Kataria at his office on February 1, 2024 and paid Rs 2,000 for registration.

After this, on the request of Bobby Kataria, on February 13, Rs 50,000 was transferred to his official account, which was registered in the name of MB Global Visa Private Limited.

After this, on March 14, on the instructions of Bobby, another amount of Rs 1 lakh was transferred to the account of a person named Ankit Shaukeen. Kataria sent tickets to Vientiane (Laos) through Shaukeen's WhatsApp.

On March 28, as per Bobby Kataria's instructions, Kumar got Rs 50,00 changed into USD at the airport and boarded a flight to Vientiane.Similarly, lakhs of rupees were taken from his friend Manish Tomar in the name of sending him to Singapore, but he was also put on a flight to Vientiane.

When both of them landed at Vientiane Airport, they met a young man named Abhi who introduced himself as Bobby Kataria's friend and a Pakistani agent.

He dropped them off at Hotel Mikan Sun in Vientiane, where they met young men named Ankit Shokeen and Nitish Sharma alias Rocky. They took the victims to an unnamed Chinese company. There both the friends were beaten severely and their passports were snatched away.

Also they were forced to commit cyber fraud against American citizens. Both were threatened that if they did not act as per their instructions, they would not be able to return to India and would be killed there."Around 150 Indians, including women, were brought to that company through human trafficking by brokers like Bobby Kataria on the pretext of jobs. Somehow, we escaped from there and reached the Indian Embassy and came back to India and filed a police complaint against Kataria. Got it done." the complainant told the police.
