New Delhi: The sky will be mainly clear in Delhi on Sunday, the day of Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister, with the maximum temperature likely to be around 43 degrees Celsius, the weather department says.

The weather department also said that there is a possibility of strong surface winds during the day.

Modi is scheduled to take oath on Sunday evening for a third consecutive term as the head of the coalition government. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7.15 pm.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the national capital on Sunday was 27.4 degrees Celsius, which was normal for this season's average.

The humidity level at 8.30 am was 40 percent.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded in the "moderate" category with a reading of 175 at 9 am.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good", between 51 and 100 "satisfactory", between 101 and 200 "moderate", between 201 and 300 "poor", between 301 and 400 "very poor", and Between 401 and 500 is considered "severe".
