Thane, With the identification of two more bodies, six victims of the devastating explosion at a chemical factory in Dombivali MIDC in the district have so far been identified, an official said on Friday.

After the explosion at Amudan Chemicals on 23 May, a total of ten bodies were brought to the hospital, whose identification had become difficult. More than 60 others were injured in the incident.

Multiple body parts were found at the blast site, and authorities had to rely on DNA testing to identify the victims.

Dr. Suhasini Badekar, Chief Medical Officer of Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation, said that two more bodies were identified on Friday on the basis of DNA test.
