Surat: Six school children were injured when a van overturned after hitting a bus from behind in Gujarat's Surat district on Monday morning, following which the driver has been arrested. A police officer gave this information.

An official at the Kim police station said there were nine students in the van, which was going to a private school.

Sub Inspector VR Chosla said, "Near Anita village, the van overturned after being hit by a bus from behind. Six injured children were taken to the hospital, of which four were discharged after first aid. Two children were admitted to the hospital. Are admitted in."

He said, "The driver of the speeding van lost control after hitting a bus while taking a turn. Driver Bunty Sharma has been booked under Indian Judicial Code and Motor Vehicles Act provisions for rash and negligent driving, careless driving and driving on his vehicle. He has been arrested for overloading the luggage capacity."
