He said that Prajwal surrendered before the police legally. "However, people are demanding that the SIT should investigate in a committed manner," he said.

He said the case has sparked debate on how the scam came to light, who wanted to turn it into publicity, who had the pen drive and which select people were arrested.

“The political intention was clear. As per the law, distributing pen drives is against the law, the SIT should also look into who distributed these pen drives,” Bommai said.
