Kaithal, Haryana Police have formed a five-member Special Investigation Team to probe the alleged attack on a Sikh man who claimed that two men beat him up and called him a "Khalistani".

The SIT will be headed by an officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, officials said, adding that CCTV footage from the area where the alleged incident took place is being analyzed to trace the accused, who are yet to be identified. Have pie.

Kaithal Superintendent of Police Upasana told reporters here on Wednesday that strict action would be taken against the culprits if they are caught.

He said, we have announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information leading to the arrest of both the accused.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have condemned the incident and demanded immediate action against the culprits.

According to the police complaint, the victim was waiting at a railway crossing here when the incident occurred on Monday evening.

As soon as the gates opened and traffic started, the man got into an argument with two youths riding a motorcycle. The matter escalated and a fight broke out between them.

"They abused me and called me a Khalistani. A man got off a motorcycle and hit me with bricks," the hospitalized victim told reporters on Tuesday.
