Poonch/Jammu: The state investigation agency on Sunday pasted proclamation notices at the houses of two fugitives wanted in a narco-terrorism-related case in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, officials said.

A team of the State Investigation Agency (SIA) reached the houses of Mohammad Liaqat alias Billa of Khari Karmara and Mohammad Arshad alias Asif of Darbagyal Digwar Terwa near the Line of Control and pasted proclamation notices asking them to report to the Principal Sessions Judge, Poonch. A demand was made to appear before him. Within a month, th officials said.

He said Liaquat and Arshad were wanted in a case registered last year under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Indian Arms Act, Explosive Substances Act, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

"Proclamation is made that the accused persons are required to appeal before the Court (Principal Sessions Judge, Poonch) within a period of 3 days from the date of publication of the Proclamation, failing which action will be taken under Section 83 CrPC . any property) action will be initiated against them,” the notice read.
