Madrid [Spain], Ace para shuttler Sukant Kadam reached the quarter-finals of the ongoing Spanish Para Badminton tournament in Vitoria, Spain. The shuttler will face India's Abhijeet Sakhuja in the quarter-finals. Sukant made a positive start to the tournament with an easy win over Nils Boening of Germany. The match lasted only 26 minutes and the score read 21-11 and 21-15 with Sukant completely dominating. In the other match of Group C, Sukant defeated Pierre Delsol of France in straight sets to book his place in the round of 16. Sukant never looked defeated in the match which lasted 23 minutes, the final score was 21-10 and 21-9. Sukant had a close contest with Mads Voigt Eriksen of Denmark in the pre-quarters, the match was competitive but Sukant was dominant throughout the game. The first set went in favor of Denmark's Mads Voigt Eriksen, but Sukant made a strong comeback in the second and third. The set shuttler overpowered her opponent in the last two sets and made a strong comeback to win the game 19-21, 21-13 and 21-14.
