New Delhi: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the AAP-Congress alliance in Delhi and called it a "thugbandhan" (alliance of fraudsters).

Chouhan also accused AAP of being 'arrogant' and termed it 'arrogant Aadmi Party'.

He made this comment while addressing a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari in Burari assembly constituency of northeast Delhi.

Addressing the gathering, Chouhan attacked the Aam Aadmi Party for forging an alliance with the Congress and said that the Aam Aadmi Party came into existence by protesting against the Congress.

He also took a dig at the alleged attack on AAP MP Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister's residence and accused it of being an anti-women party.

He said, "In Delhi, AAP and Congress have formed an alliance. They have joined hands with the same party against which they protested and came to power. AAP is no longer an arrogant Aadmi Party. They should be ashamed that their own The MP was insulted." And he was beaten up at the Chief Minister's residence, why didn't he meet him?" Chauha said.

She also listed several schemes launched by the BJP-led Center for women empowerment and described the BJP government as "respectful towards women".

He also attacked Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar, who is contesting from North-East Delhi, calling him "anti-national" and accusing him of raising "anti-India" slogans.

Appealing for votes, he said, "Manoj Tiwari is a true devotee of Indian culture. On the other hand, Kanhaiya talked about breaking India into pieces. On May 25, you have to make BJP win and teach a lesson to Congress."
