Chouhan and Sarma planted saplings in litchi gardens at ICAR, Namkum campus and Hatiya area of ​​Ranchi respectively as part of the party's 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign.

"I have come to Jharkhand for a field visit...Prime Minister Modi's resolve is - developed agriculture for a developed India...Jharkhand has immense potential for agriculture. Apart from traditional farming, there are also flower farming, fruit farming, vegetable farming here. There is farming. There are many possibilities,” Chauhan said while talking to reporters in Ranchi.

Along with Jharkhand, assembly elections will also be held in Haryana, Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir.

The tenure of the current Jharkhand Assembly will end in January 2025 and the Election Commission (EC) has started preparations to conduct assembly elections.
