Patna, Officials said that in the by-election of Agiaon assembly constituency, Communist Party of India (Marxist Leninist) Liberation candidate Shiv Prakash Ranjan is leading by 5,197 votes over his nearest rival Prabhunath Prasad of Janata Dal (United).
There was 46 percent voting in the voting held on June 1 in Agiaon assembly constituency under Ara Lok Sabha seat.
The by-election was necessitated by the disqualification of CPI (ML) Liberation MLA Manoj Manzil following his conviction in a murder case.
