New Delhi [India], June 26: Shankha Air, which is poised to become the first scheduled airline in Uttar Pradesh, is pushing ahead with its launch initiatives and is awaiting the final NOC from the Civil Aviation Ministry.

Recently, Chairman Shravan Kumar Vishwakarma held an important meeting with Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarpu Rammohan Naidu and discussed the strategic direction of the airline and upcoming growth as a full service start up airline.

Shankha Air aims to establish its primary hub at Noida International Airport, which is an important step towards increasing the regional connectivity of the country by adding national as well as new airports, connecting Noida with the upcoming Bhogapuram Airport, Pune International Airport. Airport and later connects to Navi Mumbai International Airport.

The airline plans to deploy Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, which will provide full twin-class services. Shankha Air will focus on connecting major cities within and outside Uttar Pradesh with an emphasis on competitive pricing and exceptional customer service.

The initial routes are expected to cover key locations in the state of Uttar Pradesh such as Lucknow, Varanasi and Gorakhpur and will begin operations by the end of this year.
