Bengaluru: Suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, facing sexual assault allegations, was sent to police custody on Friday, hours after he was arrested by a special team on his return from Germany.

A special court in the city sent him to police custody till June 6. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested Prajwa in the early hours of Friday, minutes after arriving here from Germany at midnight. He left the country on 27 April.

Later, Prajwal was produced before 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate KN Shivakumar, who heard the remand application and objection arguments of Prajwal's lawyer.
