Pune: Four minors have been detained for allegedly attacking a senior citizen and two others with iron rods in an attempt to rob them on Thursday morning, a Pune police official said.
Chaturshrungi police station official said that the incident took place in Aundh and the 77-year-old victim is undergoing treatment for serious head injuries.
"A gang of six men stopped a seventy-year-old man during his morning walk at 5:20 a.m. and tried to rob him. When he resisted, they attacked him on the head with an iron rod. The gang then Attacked two more people. Four are minors. "A case of attempt to murder has been registered and two others are being searched," the officer said.
