NTK placed third among the five constituencies in the state, which is no mean feat considering Tamil Nadu's coalition politics and the dominance of two Dravidian chiefs.

NTK secured third position in Erode, Kallakurichi, Kanyakumari, Nagapattinam and Tiruchi.

In Kanyakumari, NTK pushed Tamil Nadu's main opposition party AIADMK to fourth place. The party leader, Ezhilarsai, received 1,63,412 votes (15.5 per cent) which is the highest by an NTK candidate in the state.

In all 39 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, NTK doubled its vote share, making the party's performance creditable.

The party's vote share increased from 3.85 percent in 2019 to about 8.2 percent in this election.

NTK secured more than one lakh votes in 12 constituencies and performed well in all the constituencies.

It may be recalled that NTK had contested the elections on its own and had no leader except Seeman. NTK is actively presented as a Tamil nationalist party and has always supported Sri Lankan Tamil movements, including several Tamil nationalist organisations.

Speaking to IANS, political analyst and election analyst Joseph Thomas said, “Seeman's performance has been beyond expectations and it shows that there is churning of votes in the state. Seeman and NTK had no resources and no alliance and yet the party could reach third place on five seats.
