New Delhi [India], Top officials of Delhi Police conducted an intensive security review at Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi for the third term as Prime Minister on June 9.

Special security measures have also been arranged for foreign dignitaries attending the swearing-in ceremony, including enhanced protocols at three designated hotels where the dignitaries will be staying.

Apart from ground security, Delhi Police on Friday issued a public advisory declaring a no-fly zone in the National Capital Territory (NCT) Delhi.

The advisory prohibits operation of sub-conventional aerial platforms, with an aim to prevent any potential threat from criminals, anti-social elements or terrorists during the swearing-in ceremony.

"Flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, UAVs, UASS, microlight aircraft will be banned from 09.06.2024," Delhi Police said in a tweet on Twitter.Remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small-sized piloted aircraft, quadcopters or para-jumping from aircraft etc. in the jurisdiction of NCT of Delhi to thwart criminal, anti-social activities in view of the swearing-in ceremony in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. . Social elements hostile to India or terrorists can use them to pose a threat to the security of the general public, dignitaries and important establishments.

The public advisory further states that the prohibitory order will remain in effect from June 9 to June 10, 2024. Violators will face punishment under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.

The security measures follow the formal appointment of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister by the President of India on Friday.Meanwhile, a letter of support was also given to the President by the constituent parties of NDA.

Earlier on May 7, a BJP delegation from Varanasi had handed over the certificate of 2024 Lok Sabha victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. He reached New Delhi from Varanasi on Thursday to hand over the certificate to PM Narendra Modi.

"After winning from Varanasi parliamentary constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the people of Kashi for the first time on Thursday evening. During this, he became emotional. On reaching Delhi, BJP leaders of Varanasi gave him the certificate of victory." According to BJP's press release.

After the counting of votes on June 4, the District Magistrate of Varanasi presented certificates to the BJP leaders.

It is noteworthy that according to the Election Commission, PM Modi has defeated Congress candidate Ajay Rai by a margin of 1,52,513 votes.

Prime Minister Modi got 6,12,970 votes while Ajay Rai got 4,60,457 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Athar Jamal Lari stood third with 33,766 votes.

"PM Modi respectfully accepted the certificate, calling it the mandate of the people," the release said.

According to the Election Commission of India, the BJP won 240 seats, significantly less than 303 seats in 2019.On the other hand, Congress registered a strong improvement by winning 99 seats. While the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance won 292 seats, the India Bloc crossed the 230-mark, putting up a tough contest and defying all predictions.
