New Delhi, The Supreme Court on Thursday will hear three petitions, including one filed by the chief executive of edtech firm 'Physics Wala', related to the controversy-ridden NEET-UG, 2024 for admission to MBBS, BDS. And other courses.

According to the updated agenda of the top court, a vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta will hear petitions raising grievances related to the conduct of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG), 2024.

Edtech firm chief executive Alakh Pandey has moved the apex court against the alleged awarding of random grace marks to over 1,500 candidates by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The top court has also listed for hearing two petitions filed separately by Abdullah Mohammad Faiz and Jaripiti Karthik.

Pandey has urged the apex court to constitute an expert panel under its monitoring to "investigate the examination process and results of NEET (UG) 2024".The exam was conducted by NTA on May 5 at 4,750 centers and around 24 lakh candidates appeared for it. The results were expected to be declared on 14 June, but were declared on 4 June, as the evaluation of answer sheets was already completed.

Allegations such as question paper leak and granting of grace marks to over 1,500 medical aspirants have led to protests and cases filed in seven high courts and the Supreme Court.

Unprecedented in the history of NTA, 67 students scored full 720 marks, including the names of six from a center in Faridabad, Haryana, in the list, raising suspicions of irregularities.

Hundreds of students protested in Delhi on 10 June demanding an investigation into alleged irregularities.It has been alleged that Grace Marks contributed to 67 students sharing the top rank.

NEET-UG exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses in government and private institutions across the country.
