Singapore: World No. 1 Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty crashed out of the Singapore Open after a shock defeat against world No. 34 Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard of Denmark in the opening round here on Tuesday.

Satwik and Chirag, favorites to win a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, who won the Thailand Open Super 500 title earlier this month, lost to Daniel and Mads 20-22, 18 in a 47-minute clash of Super 750 badminton. Lost by -2. Tournament.
