New Delhi, Consumer electronics brand Samsung has partnered with Paytm parent company One97 Communications Ltd to integrate travel and entertainment services into Samsung Wallet in India.

Through the partnership, Samsung Galaxy smartphone users can access Paytm's services including flight and bus booking, movie ticket purchasing and event booking through the digital wallet.

Galaxy users using Paytm and Paytm Insider app can add their tickets directly to Samsung Wallet using the 'Add to Samsung Wallet' functionality, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

It said, "With the Paytm app being the preferred destination for travel and event booking for millions of Indians, its partnership with Samsung opens up new avenues for users to access its services, in line with efforts to further enhance convenience "

Samsung Wallet users can avail the new services by updating their app through the Galaxy Store.

“These features allow Galaxy smartphone users to easily purchase bus and airline tickets, as well as movie and event tickets, without the need to switch between multiple apps.

“Additionally, users can access these tickets by swiping up on the home screen of their Galaxy smartphones,” said Madhur Chaturvedi, senior director, MX Business, Samsung India.

Shares of One97 Communications closed at Rs 428.50 on the BSE on Thursday, up 6.42 per cent from its previous close.
