CHENNAI: Real estate developer Sameera Group has earmarked an investment of Rs 500 crore over the next five years to set up homes for 1,000 senior citizens in south India, the company said.

To develop housing for senior citizens, city-based Sameera Group has signed an MoU with Vedanta Senior Living with an aim to build high-quality senior living communities, a company release said on Sunday. Is.

"This strategic partnership brings together Sameera Group's extensive experience in land development and Vedanta's deep understanding of the senior car industry," the release said.

Sameera Group has completed more than 45 real estate projects in Tamil Nadu and has served more than 1 lakh customers.

The MoU signed between the two entities envisages real estate projects in Chennai, Bengaluru and Vellore, while the first project is expected to come up on 100 acres of land in Kanchipuram.

The demand for senior living solutions is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years and the joint venture between Sameera and Vedanta is well positioned to meet this growing demand by providing high quality affordable senior living solutions in the southern parts of the country. Added.
