Sakshi posted pictures of Nisha's welcome at the airport on Facebook, where family and friends gave Nisha a grand welcome.

On Friday, Nisha clinched a berth for the quadrangular showpiece after reaching the final of the Wrestling World Olympic Qualifiers and becoming the fifth female wrestler to fly to France.

Nish defeated individual neutral athlete Elena Shoukchuk, a former silver medalist at the U23 World Championships, 3–0 in the round of 16, before defeating Czech Republic's Adela Hanzlikova 7–4 in the semi-finals.

Apart from Nisha, Aman Sehrawat was the only male wrestler to make it to Paris in the final qualifying event of this year's tournament. The reigning Asia champion and U23 world champion will represent India in the men's 57k freestyle category.

Notably, Anhalt Panghal (53kg), Vinesh Phogat (50kg), Anshu Malik (57kg) and Ritika Hooda (76kg) are the other women wrestlers who will be looking to win medals at the Paris Olympics.
