London: Indian batsman Sai Sudarshan will return to England to play some matches for Surrey in the ongoing County Championship, the club announced on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old joined Surrey last season and played two County Championship matches, scoring 116 runs, including a half-century, to help the team win their 22nd title.

The Chennai cricketer had a fantastic IPL 2024 season and finished as the highest run-scorer for Gujarat Titans, scoring 527 runs in 12 innings, which included a century and two 50s.

Sudarshan made his ODI debut against South Africa last year and scored 127 runs in three matches, which included two half-centuries.

He has scored 1,118 runs in 29 innings in first-class cricket.
