Noida, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh on Thursday reacted to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's concern over the situation in Manipur and said if the organization can bring about change then it should take positive steps, otherwise talk about the conflict-torn state. There is no point in doing it. ,

Singh, who was suspended from the Rajya Sabha during the monsoon session in July 2023 for repeatedly "violating" the Chairman's instructions while protesting on the Manipur issue, also thought that the RSS chief had made comments about the northeastern state. Why didn't you warn BJP earlier? ,

"Recently (BJP president) JP Nadda said that the BJP of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's time needed the support of the RSS, but (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi's BJP does not need it. I think this is a mother The result of the fight between a mother and the child is because Nadda has openly spoken against the RSS and the RSS is also openly speaking against the BJP,” Singh told reporters here.

He said, "I want to ask Mohan Bhagwat ji with all humility that I was suspended as a (Rajya Sabha) MP in the Manipur case, but when violence is going on there (Manipur) for a year, then why? RSS should have warned earlier.''The government raised questions on this, which it did not do,'' the AAP leader said.

"Second, the Prime Minister's ego is visible everywhere, it is not hidden from anyone. He (Bhagwat) says that a Swayamsevak (RSS Swayamsevak) is not egoistic, but the Prime Minister is a Swayamsevak, who (in the BJP) is not a Swayamsevak? Everyone calls themselves volunteers,” Singh claimed.

He also alleged that the Prime Minister's level of "arrogance" was reflected in the words used by him during election speeches like "Mughal, Madrasa, Mutton, Fish, Mangalsutra and Mujra".

Singh said, "Is this the language of a Prime Minister? So if RSS can bring control then it should take some positive steps otherwise I don't think talking about it (Manipur) will make any sense.,

Manipur was plunged into violence between the Meitei and Kuki communities in May last year. Nearly 200 people have been killed since then, while thousands have been displaced due to massive arson that burned homes and government buildings. There have been reports of fresh violence from Jiribam in the last few days.

Bhagwat on Monday expressed concern over the lack of peace in Manipur even after a year and said the situation in the conflict-torn northeastern state should be considered on priority.

Addressing a gathering of RSS trainees in Nagpur, Bhagwat said conflict in different places and society is not good.On the apparent rift between the BJP and the RSS during the elections, Singh said, "When Nadda himself is saying that the BJP does not need the support of the RSS, I believe it would have awakened a sense of self-respect among the RSS workers. And that's why he might have done it." Did not support BJP in elections.

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 240 seats, down from 303 in the 2019 elections. In Uttar Pradesh, the saffron party had won 62 out of the total 80 seats in 2019, but this time its tally dropped to 33.
