Ramgarh (Jharkhand), Jharkhand Police seized around Rs 46 lakh in cash from a car during a checking operation in Ramgarh district on Wednesday. An officer gave this information.
Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner Chandan Kumar said that the money was recovered at a check post set up near a toll plaza on National Highway-33, when the car was going towards Ranchi.
The DC said that in order to conduct free and fair parliamentary elections, the Ramgarh district administration is keeping a close watch on the unaccounted cash flow, which could affect the fair elections in the district.
A total of seven check posts have been established at inter-district as well as inter-state borders in the district.
