The deceased was identified as Dr. Yogesh Chander Paul, who also had a private clinic in Jangpura area.
Police said the police control room (PCR) received a call at 6.50 pm. A police team reached the spot in connection with the murder at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station Upper Ground Floor C-14, Jangpura Extension, Delhi.
“The deceased was a general practitioner. He lived at the above address with his wife Dr Neena Paul, who is also a Delhi government doctor,” said Rajesh Dev, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast).
The DCP said that the body was found in the kitchen and forensic team along with the crime team was called.
"There are also indications of robbery as the rooms have been ransacked, prima facie, I think the accused persons looted the house and killed Dr Paul," the DCP said.
