Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], State Janata Party (RJP) leader N Nagesh has been detained for offering reward to anyone providing information about the whereabouts of Hasa MP Prajwal Revanna in the pornographic video case, police said. Said that this campaign has been started in Bengaluru. The Karnataka government promised a reward of Rs 1 lakh to anyone providing information about Revanna's location, however, authorities immediately intervened and detained Nagesh and removed the posters. Meanwhile, Revanna is still out of the loop despite an FIR being lodged against him several days ago. Earlier, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had expressed confidence that the police will conduct a legal investigation into the Prajwal Revanna case and there is no need to transfer the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Responding to media queries about Kumaraswamy's request to the Governor to hand over the Prajwal Revanna case to the CBI, the Chief Minister said, “Have faith in your police.There is no need to hand over Prajwal Revanna's case to CBI. CM said, "Has BJP ever handed over even a single case to CBI? Earlier during the Congress government, DK Ravi case, lottery case, allegations against minister KJ George. And the Paresh Mesta cases were handed over to the CBI." Questioned whether anyone has been punished in these cases? In the past, BJP itself has described CBI as Corruption Bureau of Investigation, Deve Gowda said that CBI is an organization to save thieves. The CM questioned, "Do they trust the CBI now? I trust the CBI. However, we trust our police." Earlier on May 9, a delegation of JD(S) led by former CM HD Kumaraswamy visited Karnataka. Met the Governor.Thawar Chand Gehlot submitted a memorandum urging an "impartial investigation" into the case, "We have presented before the Governor all the developments in this case so far. We requested him to ask the Central Government to conduct an impartial investigation into this case. Where is the investigation being done? Why is the state government misusing its power? Congress is saying that there are more than 2900 victims. But where are they?" Kumaraswamy asked while speaking to reporters after meeting the Governor. Suspended Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) leader Prajwal Revanna is the current MP from Hassan constituency. He is contesting again from the same seat as an ND candidate.Voting on this seat was completed on 26 April. Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna are facing investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed. The Karnataka government filed charges of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation following a complaint by a woman who worked in his house.
