Muzaffarnagar (UP): A retired army personnel has been arrested with illegal weapons in neighboring Shamli district, police said on Wednesday.
Circle Officer Amardeep Singh said that after a raid in Harmajpur village under Kandhla police station on Tuesday evening, a rifle, two guns and 65 cartridges were recovered from retired army soldier Neeraj Kumar.
It was found that Kumar stole cartridges and possessed weapons during his stay in the army, the CO said.
He said that a case has been registered against the jawan and investigation is ongoing.
