The NDRF, Indian Army and Assam Rifles, along with local authorities, are distributing water bottles by boat to people trapped in buildings. They are helping people stranded in heavily flooded areas, taking them to safer places by boat. Arun Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary to the Manipur government and in-charge of the control room, told ANI that the Manipur government has set up a. The Manipur government has set up a 24/7 control room to deal with the flood crisis caused by Cyclone Remal to improve coordination of rescue and relief efforts and rapidly respond to the needs of the affected people. Colonel Radhakrishnan, commanding officer of 33 Assam Rifles, told ANI, "Ever since the disaster struck Manipur, Assam Rifles was called upon and we have volunteered. Around 6,500 people have been rescued so far. We have rescued people Water bottles and food have also been distributed." Those who are stuck in areas where the water level is high.Heavy rains have caused floods in many parts of Manipur including Imphal. Manipur Chief Minister said that due to Cyclone Ramal, the state is receiving continuous rains. Assam Rifles, along with local authorities, is carrying out rescue operations and rescuing people from various flood-affected areas of the state. 40 NDRF personnel and 6 additional motorboats have reached Imphal to assist the state government in rescue.
