New Delhi, Minimize outsourcing of exam-related tasks by the NTA, establish an educational task force and a whistleblowing helpline and conduct competitive exams at least twice a year and only after the NTA exams. together are some of the various suggestions made to the Center by the Coaches Federation of India.

The suggestions from the CFI, an umbrella body for coaching institutions across the country, came amid a furious row over alleged irregularities, including document leaks, in the exams.

The federation, in its list of suggestions to prevent the leak of documents, also expressed its displeasure for calling the training industry a "mafia of evil committed by a few." He also criticized educational institutions that use document leaks for publicity and take advantage of students' sentiments and play politics. "There should be no politics on the issue and students are already stressed due to the uncertainty over the NEET exam and we need to understand their mental state and to get any benefit, students should not be used. The question of whether NEET should be re-conducted is subjudice and whatever the Supreme Court decides, everyone has to abide by it and the decision does not go. to be easy...", stated the TPI.

Pramod Maheshwari, Managing Director, Career Point, Kota, expressed displeasure over the coaching industry being referred to as a "mafia", saying that the need for coaching is not out of compulsion but choice and that the industry Coaching has helped produce many quality engineers and doctors. , lawyers and judges.

"We request the government to recognize us and allocate land for coaching parks so that students can choose the center they want and have access to the best facilities and we can have many more educational centers like Kota in India. We also request that they treat us with respect and as part of the ecosystem," he told reporters. The CFI proposed a uniform syllabus across all state boards and said the syllabus should be synchronized with that of entrance exams like the Common Entrance Test. University (CUET), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). .

The federation has said that exams like JEE Mains should be held in April and May after the board exams as students find it difficult to concentrate on both the entrance and board exams.

"The results of the entrance exams are declared before the board exams and they find it difficult to concentrate on the board exams and some even take extreme measures due to this pressure. It is also proposed that the boards be completed by 10 of March and the first attempt of JEE should be held in the first week of April and the second attempt after a month," the TPI said. Noting that several irregularities that have come to light in this year's exams are due to outsourcing of exam-related tasks by the National Testing Agency, the federation has suggested that the NTA should have its own printing press and transportation facilities and an adequate workforce. to face so many exams.

"External sources like transportation and printing have been found to be behind the leaking of paper to the paper mafia and even the exam center officials. Since the NTA has a shortage of manpower, it becomes difficult for The NTA will monitor all these activities and once the labor is neither outsourced nor in-house, leakages will be reduced and responsibilities will increase.

"The coordinator and observer should be from NTA and not from the school and university or those in charge can come from different states and the principal or vice principal can travel to minimize local contact and the possibility of paper leakage. " he added.Including certain weightage for board exams, conducting exams twice a year and in preliminary and main format, restructuring NTA and conducting maximum exams in online mode are also among the suggestions made by the CFI, which noted that The government has not invited them. for any consultation with interested parties.

In the line of fire over alleged irregularities in the NEET medical entrance exam and NET doctoral entrance, the Center last week removed NTA Director General Subodh Singh and notified a high-level panel headed by the former ISRO chief R Radhakrishnan to ensure a transparent, smooth and fair process. conducting exams through the NTA.

While NEET is under scrutiny for several irregularities, including alleged leaks, UGC-NET was canceled when the ministry received information that the integrity of the exam was compromised. Both matters are being investigated by the CBI. Two other exams, CSIR-UGC NET and NEET PG, were canceled as a preventive measure.

The committee has sought suggestions and comments from stakeholders, including students and parents, until July 7 through the MyGov platform.
