Mumbai: Recruitment activities are expected to focus on filling new positions in 2024-25 as recruitment for new vacancies will account for 27 per cent of the talent hunting efforts of employers across all sectors, a report said on Thursday.

The hiring, compensation and attrition management report from staffing solutions and services provider Genius Consultants said that at least 23 per cent of recruitment efforts will be required for replacement for existing positions in the current financial year.

“The recruitment outlook for 2024-25 across the industry indicates a strong focus on new position recruitment, which will account for 27 per cent of recruitment efforts. This strategic direction reflects a commitment to meet the evolving demands of the market and engage new Reflects talent,” RP Yadav Toll, CMD, Genius Consultants.

While replacement hiring will still be necessary, comprising 23 percent of recruitment activities, the primary goal is to foster growth and innovation and create new roles that fit the future needs of the industry, he said.

The report by Genius Consultants is based on a survey among 1,114 HR professionals and C-suite executives between March 1 and April 15 this year.

The report further states that 32 per cent of appointments are expected to be made at the 3rd level for people with 4-8 years of work experience.

In terms of experience level, the data shows preference for employees with 4 to 8 years of experience, while 26 percent are in the 1-4 years experience level, with only 1 percent estimated to recruit new hires.

The report also revealed that in FY2015, non-contractual temporary roles are expected to account for 27 percent of recruitment initiatives, followed by fixed-term contractual appointments with 25 percent, gig-staffing at 24 percent, while permanent Posts included. The remaining 24 percent.
