However, after the incident, a video was shared by a social media user who claimed to be an independent journalist. He made some allegations against Raveena Tandon.

According to the post shared by Raveena on her Instagram account, Mumbai Police clarified that the allegations, in which she was accused of being "drunk", were false.Raveena Tandon's lawyer Sana Raees Khan said that recently an attempt was made to implicate the actor in a "false and frivolous complaint, which was made evident in the CCTV footage" and no complaint was filed.

Sana said, "However, recently a person claiming to be a journalist has been spreading false information on X regarding the said incident, which is factually incorrect and misleading. This spread of false news is tarnishing Raveena's reputation. "There appears to be a deliberate attempt to sabotage." Raees Khan said.

"The intention behind continuously spreading these lies lies in extortion and a desire to gain cheap popularity at the cost of Raveena's dignity. We are currently taking all necessary legal steps to address this issue and ensure that We want justice to be served and action to be taken.To continue this defamatory campaign against him,” the lawyer said.

The defamation notice sent by Raveena Tandon's legal team to Mohsin Shaikh, who describes himself as a social activist and independent journalist, mentioned the post and said it "defamed our client without any evidence ".

Raveena Tandon has sought damages of Rs 100 crore.

“Our client states that the content of the video uploaded on your handle is not only defamatory but also designed to defame our client publicly by causing mental harassment and agony to our client, as police investigation has revealed that Nothing like that happened,” the defamation notice said.The notice said the facts were not verified before posting and it was not removed despite being aware of the "true and correct facts emerging from the police investigation regarding the said post".

The notice said the post contained a "defamatory video as subsequent investigation and CCTV footage revealed that false allegations were made."

The notice also asked X to "remove all posts mentioning or defaming our client..."

Many members of the film industry, including actress Kangana Ranaut, showed solidarity with Raveena Tandon over the incident.

Kangana said on Instagram that what happened to Raveena Tandon is absolutely worrying.

"...If there were 5-6 more people in the opposite group, he would have been beaten to death; we condemn such road rage outbursts; those people should be reprimanded.They should not get away with such violent and toxic behavior,” he said.
