Mumbai, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday called senior BJP leader and Maharashtra Vice President Devendra Fadnavis a "villain" in Maharashtra politics, and accused him of destroying several families and resorting to political vendetta.

After the BJP's Lok Sabha seat tally in the state came down from 23 to 9, Fadnavis offered to step down as deputy CM, a day after Raut's comments, and said he would work "full-time" for the party ahead of the assembly. Wants to work Elections are to be held later this year.

Raut also said that if Narendra Modi tries to become Prime Minister "forcibly" for the third time, his government will not last and the RSS was working to find an alternative.

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, the Rajya Sabha member said, "If there is any villain in Maharashtra politics, it is Devendra Fadnavis. The BJP's drubbing in the Lok Sabha elections is because of Devendra Fadnavis.,

"Fadnavis has destroyed many families and resorted to political vendetta," he alleged.

Raut also alleged that after the BJP got a brute majority in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Modi and Amit Shah tried to give birth to presidents, but the RSS is now in a position that they can take a decision and Modi. Can send home.

"If Modi tries to form a government forcibly, it will not work. I can say this with confidence. Modi is facing opposition within the party.My information is that the top leadership of the union is working to find an alternative,” Raut claimed.

He said Modi cannot become Prime Minister as he has "lost" the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

"The elections were fought under it and it (BJP) did not get the majority. The next government will be formed with the help of Baisakhi," the Sena (UBT) leader said.

In Maharashtra, the Mahayuti alliance – comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena (led by Eknath Shinde) and the NCP (led by Ajit Power) won 17 Lok Sabha seats, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi – comprising the Congress, Shiv Sena (led by Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and the NCP (NCP) and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) won 30 seats out of total 48 seats.Congress won 13 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) nine and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) eight.

BJP won nine seats, Shiv Sena seven seats and NCP won just one seat, taking the grand alliance's tally to 17.
