HYDERABAD: India's leading mobility app Rapido on Monday said it promises to provide free bike taxis, autos and cab rides to voters in Hyderabad and Karimnagar, Khammam and Warangal on polling day on May 13.

Rapido is joining hands with the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer to encourage people to vote in the biggest festival of democracy. Finally, Rapido organized an event to raise voter awareness at the Lal Bahadur Shastri (LB) Stadium here, which was attended by CEO Vikas Raj.

On election day, voters can avail free rides on the Rapido app by using the code 'VOTENOW' and get a free ride to exercise their democratic right. The release said the initiative aims to facilitate the voting rights of residents and ensure a more inclusive electoral process.This concerted effort is in line with Rapido's nationwide campaign, which has deployed over 10 lakh Captains in over 100 cities to provide free rides on Election Day.

Pawan Guntupalli, Co-founder, Rapido, said, “We are taking this initiative to ensure that every voter in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam and Warangal can successfully fulfill their civic duty by casting their vote in the General Elections of India 2024 "

Rapido specifically seeks to ensure that voters with disabilities and senior citizen voters have equal access to exercise their democratic right. He said that by providing them free auto and cab rides, the ride app is doubling its commitment towards inclusivity and social responsibility.
