Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Filmmaker Sikandar Bharti, best known for directing Bollywood films from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s, died on Friday at the age of 60. He fought cancer for six months before passing away at the age of 60. Sikandar Bharti was cremated. His last directorial venture was 'Rangeela Raja' starring Govinda on Saturday with the presence of family and friends Sikandar Bharti gained recognition for directing various films like 'Ghar' with Rajesh Khanna, Chunky Pandey and Neelam. Sikandar Bharti's directorial portfolio also includes films like 'Rupee Dus Crore,' 'Bhai Bhai,' 'Sar Utha Ke Jio,' and 'Dand-Nayak.' His last film, 'Rangeela Raja', released in 2019, was a comedy starring Govind in a dual role. The film was written and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani. Sikand Bharti is survived by his wife Pinky and their three children Sipika, Yuvika and Socrates.
