Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has extended the period of darshan on this occasion and said that no special darshan will be organized on that day. Earlier passes have also been cancelled.

Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said that during the Ram Navami festival, darshan will continue from 3:30 am in Brahma Muhurta. There will be Shringar Aarti of Ra Lala at 5 in the morning.

While offering food to God, the curtain will be drawn for a while. The sequence of darshan will continue till 11 pm. After this, as per rules, there will be Bhog and Shayan Aarti.

After Shayan Aarti on Ram Navami, prasad will be available at the exit gate of the temple. It will be easier for devotees to have darshan if they keep their mobiles, shoes, slippers, big bags and prohibited items away from the temple.

The ban on VIP darshan has been extended by one day. Now there will be no darshan of Chhathi till 19th April.

Below the Sugriva Fort, opposite the Birla Dharamshala, at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi entrance, a passenger service center has been set up by the Temple Trust, providing public facilities. There are arrangements from seating to treatment for the devotees.

Live telecast of all the programs taking place in the temple is being done through LED screens at 100 places in Ayodhya Municipal Corporation area.

The entire holy city is decorated and illuminated for the occasion.

The highlight of the festival will be Surya Tilak on Wednesday when the sun's rays will fall on the forehead of Ram Lalla.

The 'Surya Tilak' of the deity is made possible by an elaborate mechanism consisting of mirrors and lenses.

On Tuesday, a team tested this system.

"The basic objective of the Surya Tilak Project is to apply 'Tilak' on the forehead of the idol of Shri Ram on the day of every Shri Ram Navami. Under the project, sunlight will be brought on the forehead of Lord Ram at noon on Shri Ram Navami. Every year on Chaitra in the month,” said Dr S.K. Panigrahi, scientist at CSIR-CBR Roorkee.
