New Delhi: Opposition members on Tuesday cornered the government in Rajya Sabha over the recent exam leak, saying it is damaging the future of the youth and the morale of hard-working students.

AAP's Raghav Chadha probed and said that two IPLs are played in the country - one is the Indian Premier League (IPL) for cricket and the second is Indian Paper Leak (IPL), and the exam organizing agency NTA stands for 'Now there is no trust'

Speaking on the issue during the Motion of Thanks after the President's address, some members demanded a fair probe under the supervision of the Supreme Court and questioned the government's "silence". Congress leader Digvijay Singh raised the issue of alleged irregularities and corruption in the examination process and said the opposition has no faith in the CBI probe ordered by the central government.

He accused the BJP government of creating an atmosphere of fear in the country.

Singh alleged that the Election Commission was not fair in conducting the recent Lok Sabha poll and questioned the credibility of electronic voting machines (EVMs). On the issue of document leak, the Congress leader said: "I want to ask the Prime Minister just a question about NEET. Will you cancel this NEET 2024 exam Yes or No.”

"Is the government going to sack the NTA chief who is involved in the scam?" Singh said during the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's speech in Rajya Sabha.

Ramgopal Yadav alleged that coaching centers were involved in all the document leaks that occurred recently, from NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) to NET (National Eligibility Test). “Everyone knows what the coaching centers are. that they have the focus and the potential, and despite this, no action has been taken against them," he said.

Referring to the recent leaks of NEET (UG) and NET (UGC) papers, Chadha said that an education and exam mafia has emerged which has left the future of millions of students in this country in darkness. More than 35 lakh students appeared for these exams.

"India is one of the youngest countries in the world, where the average age is 29 years," he said, adding that the country has the highest number of students in the world, around 31 crore. Chadha said: "There are two IPLs in this country. In one IPL, the game is played with a ball and a bat and there is a second one, where it is played with the future of the youth, which is India Paper Leak.”

Citing the recent document leaks, he said this not only breaks the heart but also the morale of a student.

He also raised the issue of unemployment in the country. "Unemployment in the organized sector is at its peak and there is no data on the informal sector," he said.

SP's Ramji Lal Suman also expressed concern over the paper leak and said that the NTA chairman was the chairman of the State Public Service Commissions in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh before taking charge of UPSC in the NTA and then in it .

"The education minister says action will be taken after two months of a departmental inquiry. I am simply asking why he has not been removed till now," he said, adding that he was also responsible and the government should have acted against him. National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Subodh Singh was on June 22 diverted by the Center and placed on “mandatory hold” at the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) until further orders, amid a massive controversy over alleged irregularities in competitive exams. NEET and NET.

Suman said that by demanding cancellation of NEET (UG) exams, more than 70 paper leakage issues affecting around 1.70 million students have come to light in the last seven years.

Digvijay Singh alleged that the NTA chief was earlier involved in the Vyapam scam. Singh said he has no faith in the CBI, which has been asked to probe the NEET case. SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav also alleged "rampant corruption" in BJP-ruled states. People who are not eligible receive benefits from schemes like Antyodaya Anna Yojana for food.

The Har Ghar Nal Yojana with running water is far from the target, he claimed.

"The Ministry of Jal Shakti has spent crores of rupees and yet tap water does not reach even 5 per cent of the households," he said and wondered where the money had gone. Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena (UBT) said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted a Congress-free nation, but the people of the country have taken majority away from the BJP.
