Taking to Instagram Stories, Rajkummar shared a picture with Hansal, along with a heartfelt birthday note: "Happy Birthday my dear Hansal Mehta sir. Love yo sir. Have a great year."

Rajkumar's wife and actress Patralekha also said in the stories section, "Happy birthday dear Hansal Mehta sir...love you...keep shining."

Patralekha was a part of 'Citylights' with her husband.

Hansal last directed the crime thriller 'The Buckingham Murders' starring Kareena Kapoor Khan.

He is the producer of the upcoming film 'Dedh Bigha Zameen'.
