Rajsamand (Rajasthan) [India], The body of a 13-year-old boy, who fell into a well on May 31 in Chapali village in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district, has been recovered, police said on Monday.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Manish Tripathi, State Disaster Relief Force personnel along with Rajsamand civil defense team, police and local divers made efforts to rescue the teenager who had fallen into the well on Friday.

NDRF personnel were called and with the help of underwater cameras, the body was found around 10 am today, the official said. The officer said that the body was stuck in a crack inside the well.

SP Tripathi said, "The incident occurred when the boy went near the well to drink water. He tripped over a hard object, due to which he fell into the well. The rescue operation took three days as the well was located near a pond. Was." Due to which it was continuously getting recharged with water despite our efforts to empty it."

Rescue operations were carried out with the help of local divers, police, SDRF and civil defense team from the date of the incident, the official said. "Seeing zero progress and understanding the gravity of the situation, we called the NDRF team," the police officer said.

"With the help of their modern equipment and underwater cameras, the NDRF team found the body of the boy hidden in a crack inside the well," he said.

Adding to the details, the Superintendent of Police said, "The boy had come to visit his maternal grandparents' house. The incident took place at a nearby place 'Kanawas', where he had gone to play with his friends."
