Jaipur, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Sunday said development should happen without harming the balance of nature and called for planting more and more trees.

Addressing the Vriksha Mitra Samman Ceremony organized by Shri Kalpataru Sansthan, Mishra said that trees and plants not only make the land fertile but also provide livelihood.

The Indian "eternal" vision has been of nature worship. He said, the big scientific fact behind this is that ecological balance should be maintained.

Mishra said, people did not even care about their lives to save the trees.

Referring to the 'Panchbhuta' elements of nature, the Rajasthan Governor stressed the need to plant trees and conserve them.

He also highlighted the need to work together for a greener earth.
