Jaipur: The operation to find the body of a 13-year-old boy who fell into a 70-feet deep well in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district has been going on for more than 50 hours, police said on Sunday.

He said that a team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is engaged in pumping out the water flowing in the well to carry out the operation.

Lalit Singh (13), a resident of Palra village, had gone to graze goats in Kanawas Chapri village on Friday afternoon when he fell into the well.

The children accompanying Lalit told his maternal grandfather Ganesh Singh about the incident and he informed the police.

Devair police station in-charge Bhavani Shankar said, "The boy fell into the well and died. The SDRF team is conducting an operation to trace the body. The biggest problem is the continuous flow of water in the well."

He said that the operation is going on since Friday afternoon.

Due to the water in the well being very deep, the police called a team of six members of Civil Defense from Rajsamand.
