Jaipur: The Rajasthan government on Friday removed four health department officials from Bikaner, Kotputli and Bharatpur from their posts and put them on awaiting posting orders following negative feedback about them.

This action was taken on the instructions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, who gave negative feedback about him in the review meeting held today.

The Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMO) of Bikaner and the Block Chief Medical Officer of Sridungargarh, Bikaner have been removed for dereliction of duty, officials said.

He said he has been put on Awaiting Posting Order (APO) status with immediate effect.

The Principal Medical Officer (PMO) of Kotputli and the PMO of Nadba (Bharatpur) were also removed.

Additional Chief Secretary of Medical and Health Department, Shubhra Singh said that Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bikaner, Dr. Mohit Singh Tanwar was absent from his office during the visit of the Secretary in-charge of the district.

Similarly, Sridungargarh BCMO Dr. Jaswant Singh was also found negligent in duty.

Officials said that the Chief Minister directed to remove them from their posts and put both the officers on APO with immediate effect.

Director of Public Health Dr Ravi Prakash Mathur said Kotputli Principal Medical Officer (PMO) D Suman Yadav was found negligent during the visit of the district in-charge secretary and was subsequently removed. Dr. Chaitanya Rawat has been appointed PMO in his place.

Also, Nadbai PMO Dr. Manish Chaudhary has been removed and made APO.
