Jaipur, Rajasthan Opposition Leader Tikaram Jully on Tuesday urged Congress MLAs to strongly raise issues of public interest and concerns of marginalized groups in the upcoming Assembly session.

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari will present the state budget in the assembly on Wednesday.

At Tuesday's meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) to consolidate its strategy for the Assembly session, LoP Jully expressed gratitude to the party leadership for entrusting such an important responsibility to a member of the Dalit community.

He sought the cooperation of all Congress MLAs during the session and urged them to strongly raise public interests and concerns of marginalized groups in the House.

He also spoke about plans to set up a shadow cabinet aimed at holding the BJP government accountable for its jobs.

On Monday, Jully said the Congress will soon form a "shadow cabinet" and young MLAs will be allotted departments. "We will give the party's young MPs the responsibility of monitoring the functioning of different government departments," he had said.

Senior party leaders including Congress general secretaries Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Sachin Pilot, party state unit chief Govind Singh Dotasra and former minister Harish Chaudhary also addressed the CLP meeting, a spokesperson said. of the party.

The meeting congratulated the newly elected Congress and INDIA block MPs in Rajasthan. Two MPs, Rajkumar Roat of the BAP and Hanuman Beniwal of the RLP, were unable to attend the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Dotasara alleged that special assistants to the state ministers were spying on the ministers. These aides are sharing information about file movements with Delhi and the chief secretary, he told reporters.

The state Congress chief also raised questions over the transparency and status of acceptance of Kirori Meena's resignation.

Meena recently said that she had tendered his resignation from the minister's post for failing to make the BJP win in Dausa and some other Lok Sabha seats in the recently held general elections.

However, her resignation has not yet been accepted.
