New Delhi, Railway PSU RailTel Corporation of India on Thursday reported 3 per cent rise in profit after tax for the January-March quarter 2023-24 at Rs 77.53 crore from Rs 75.24 crore in the same period last year. .

The mini-ratna company under the Railway Ministry reported total income of Rs 852 crore in the last quarter of 2023-24, compared with Rs 707.29 crore in the year-ago period, according to exchange filings.

Sanjay Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, RailTel, said, “The company continues to perform well with an impressive growth of 25% on QoQ basis in its operating revenues.

“The growth in revenue and PAT for FY 2023-24 has also been encouraging at 31%. With a healthy order book, the company is likely to see substantial growth in operating income in the coming quarters,” Kumar said.

For the year ending March 31, 2024, the company achieved total income of R 2,622 crore and total PAT of Rs 246 crore, registering a 31% growth in turnover and profits over the previous year.
