Imphal: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday visited a relief camp in Manipur's Churachandpur district and interacted with the people living there.

People displaced by ethnic violence in the north-eastern state are living in relief camps.

Gandhi, who was accompanied by senior Congress leaders, spoke to the people living in the relief camps and heard their problems.

The former Congress president visited another relief camp in Jiribam district earlier in the day.

Ethnic violence between the Meitei and Kuki communities has claimed more than 200 lives in Manipur since May last year.
