Imphal: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrives at Imphal airport from Silchar airport after visiting relief camps in Jiribam district.
After this, the leaders of the opposition in the Lok Sabha left for Churachandpur by road.
He will visit relief camps in Churachandpur where people displaced by caste violence are living.
Gandhi was also accompanied by state Congress president Keesham Meghchandra and CLP leader O Ibobi Singh.
"The purpose of Rahul Gandhi's visit is to provide assistance to the people and assess the situation at the ground level. His visit reflects the party's commitment to address the concerns of the people affected by the recent violence," Meghchandra told reporters.
