This came as the Samajwadi Party, led by Akhilesh Yadav, secured a record-breaking 37 seats in Parliament, marking a watershed moment in UP politics.The party alone won 37 seats this time and became the largest party in the state, while its ally Congress managed to gain six seats, including regaining its stronghold seat Amethi from BJP's Smriti Irani. Apart from this, Congress has also won Rae Bareli, another politically important seat, by an unprecedented margin.

Meanwhile, the BJP, which won 62 seats during the 2019 elections, managed to retain its position on only 33 seats, while its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) won two seats and Anupriya Patel-led Apna Dal (S) Got a seat.

According to the Election Commission of India, Samajwadi Party (SP) won 37 seats, BJP won 33 seats, Congress won 6 seats, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) won 2 seats, and Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) and Apna Party (Sonilal) won 2 seats. Won one seat each in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections.In the press conference, Akhilesh Yadav expressed his gratitude to the people of Ayodhya for making him victorious on this seat and expressed his views on the formation of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

The Samajwadi Party chief said, "The Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh were based on issues and the people of the state voted on their issues and problems, due to which the Bharatiya Janata Party suffered a massive defeat."

Taking aim at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said, "If he is going towards Delhi, then stop him there and do not send him back to Uttar Pradesh."

“This victory is an important moment for Akhilesh Yadav and the party leaders, as he has successfully broken the record of winning the most seats in Parliament.

Apart from winning the maximum number of seats, there was a huge jump in the party's vote share in UP and it reached 33.59 percent.
