New Delhi: Quant Mutual Fund on Friday sold shares of HEG worth Rs 421 crore through an open market transaction.

A total of 18.62 lakh shares of HEG were sold by quant mutual funds (MFs) through two separate bulk deals on BSE and NSE.

According to the data, quant MFs sold 9.5 lakh shares of HEG (Hindustan Electro Graphites) on BSE and disposed of 9.12 lakh shares on NSE.

The shares were sold at an average of Rs 2,260 per piece on both the stock exchanges, taking the value of the deal to Rs 420.86 crore.

Details of the buyers of HEG shares could not be ascertained.

Shares of HEG closed 0.73 per cent higher at Rs 2,264.30 per share on BSE, while the company's shares closed 0.58 per cent higher at Rs 2,261.50 per share on NSE.

In a separate bulk deal on NSE, Premji Invest sold 29.41 lakh shares of MedPlus Health Services for Rs 200 crore through an open market transaction.

Premji Invest sold shares of MedPlus Health Services through its associate PI Opportunities Fund.

According to exchange data, PI Opportunities Fund - I sold shares of MedPlus at an average price of Rs 680, valuing the deal at Rs 199.99 crore.

Details of the buyers of MedPlus shares could not be identified.

On Friday, shares of MedPlus Health Services closed at Rs 670, down 2.88 per cent, on the NSE.
