Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], Punjab's Anti Gangster Task Force on Thursday arrested a henchman of jailed gangster Deepak Tinu, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said, adding that a pistol and five live cartridges have been recovered.

"In a major breakthrough, the Anti Gangster Task Force (#AGTF) ​​has succeeded in arresting jailed gangster Deepak Tinu's henchman, Lawrence Bishnoi and associate of foreign based terrorist Goldie Brar, Vijay, resident of SAS Nagar, #Memandpur. Gang,” Punjab DGP said.

He said, "The arrested accused has a criminal background and has several heinous crime cases registered against him in #Punjab and #Haryana."

The DGP further said that as per preliminary investigation, the arrested accused was assigned the task of killing rival Bambiha gang members by his jailed or foreign handlers.

Deepak Tinu is an associate of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and one of the main accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

According to the police, Bambiha gang is involved in many heinous crimes like murder, intimidation, extortion, extortion and many other criminal activities in many districts of Punjab.
