Pune: Pune police have written to the Juvenile Justice Board seeking permission to investigate a minor allegedly involved in the Porsche accident in which two technicians died, an official said on Friday.

Police claim that the 17-year-old teenager was driving a luxury car under the influence of alcohol when the fatal accident occurred in Kalyani Nagar area of ​​the city on May 19. He is in observation home till June 5.

“We have written to the JJ board and sought their permission to allow investigation of the minor,” said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balakwade.

Hours after the accident, JJB granted bail to builder Vishal Aggarwal's son Kishore and asked him to write a 300-word essay on road safety. Following heavy criticism from Ami, the police again approached JJB, who amended the order and sent him to observation home till June 5.

The minor's father and grandfather have been arrested for allegedly wrongfully holding their family driver hostage, luring him with cash and gifts and threatening to take the blame for the late accident.

Police have also arrested two doctors and an employee of Sassoon Genera Hospital here for manipulating the teenager's blood samples to make it appear that he was not drunk at the time of the accident.
