Sindh [Pakistan] In the wake of a heated exchange between leaders of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)-P, the provincial minister for local government has announced that PPP will name the next governor of Sindh, reports. ARY News has been done.

If the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is unable to select the next governor of Sindh, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will step in, according to provincial minister Saeed Ghani.

Ghani stressed that although the PML-N has insisted on choosing its own governor, the PPP wants to name a party member.

“If the PML-N does not appoint the governor, the PPP will nominate its own governor,” he said.

Speaking about the quota system, he said that Liaquat Ali Khan had started it and the PPP government took it forward.

Launching a scathing attack on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), he said its leaders were doing disgusting politics which was harmful for the people, ARY News reported.

“Despite our vote bank in rural Sindh, we get 40 per cent of our jobs in urban areas, whether we like it or not,” he said.

Apart from criticizing the MQM-P for opposing the quota system, Ghani accused the party of using provincial progress for political gains.

Additionally, he mocked Mustafa Kemal by saying that those who identify themselves as representatives of the lower class have actually done nothing to further their cause.
